Incidence of breast cancer according to histological andimmunohistochemical type at Augusto HernándezMendoza - Ica Hospital. Period 2013-2017

Objective: To determine the incidence of breast cancer according to histological and immunohistochemical type at the Augusto Hernández Mendoza Hospital - Ica. 2013 - 2017 period. Method: Quantitative, observational, cross-sectional and retrospective research. All women diagnosed with breast cancer at the Hospital Augusto Hernández Mendoza, EsSalud, Ica between 2013 and 2017 were used. Results: Of the 210 women (94%) identified with breast cancer presented the histological type infiltrating ductal carcinoma, 5 patients (2%) the variety of ductal carcinoma in situ, while 9 patients (4%) the variety of infiltrating lobular carcinoma. 62% of patients with breast cancer presented Luminal A immunohistochemical variant, 19% Luminal B type breast cancer, 8% triple negative cancer and 11% presented Her2 positive variant. Conclusions: It was determined that the incidence level of breast cancer is high; the most frequent type of breast cancer is infiltrating ductal carcinoma histological type.
